Welcome! - Join us for Lunch on Tuesday November 17th
|
On Tuesday November 17th (one week later than usual) at Fasig Tipton, bring your gently worn Suits & Accessories for SHRM "Suits for Success" and hear Lisa Morgan discuss:
"Managing the Human Side of Reductions"
Bluegrass SHRM is excited to bring you this timely program. Our guest speaker will be Lisa Morgan, who will provide a unique insider’s perspective of what actually happens to departing employees after their terminations: typical experiences, thoughts regarding their former employers, what happens in outplacement, and small things that we can do in Human Resources to make those transitions go more smoothly. We will then discuss change management best practices to help our surviving employees stay engaged and committed after they lose their friends and gain more responsibilities.
Lisa is President of Zenith Performance Group, a regional outplacement, coaching, and leadership development firm. During Lisa’s tenure in the field of outplacement, she has worked with approximately 150 companies having reductions and has counseled well over 2000 individuals during their career transition. Lisa has a Master’s in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Xavier.
Remember....Bring Your Gently Worn Suits & Accessories to support
SHRM "Suits for Success"
It’s time to collect some of your gently used business apparel and accessories, and bring them with you to the Nov. 17 chapter meeting. Bluegrass SHRM is proud to announce SHRM Suits for Success, a clothing drive to benefit the New Opportunity School for Women in Berea. The mission of the school is to improve the educational, financial and personal circumstances of low-income middle-aged women in Kentucky and the south central Appalachian region.
Representatives from the school will be on hand to accept donations of women’s clothing suitable for work, class or interviews. Also welcome are donations of accessories such as shoes, purses, scarves and coats. All items should be current, clean and in good repair. Donations are tax deductible and the school will mail out
receipts to those providing their name and address along with their donation. Read more at www.NOSW.org .
